January 2009 Update

The month of January has slowed down a lot compared to last month. We've still been busy but not near as busy as we were during the holidays.

EMILEE NEWS: Emilee started back to school the first of January and also resumed her dance classes back...both of which she loves. She's been having lots of fun with her new puppy, Bella...they are so cute together! She amazes us everyday with her vocabulary as well as her great sense of humor...she's always making us laugh. She loves pre-school and is always coming home telling us the lastest things that she has learned as well as what other kids in her class did that day as well! Coming up in February she will be celebrating her 4th birthday! We can't get over how fast 4 years have gone by...she has brought so much joy into our lives.

JUSTIN & SUMMER NEWS: As mentioned above, we haven't been near as busy as we were in the fall and it should stay that way for at least another month which is a nice break. This month we celebrated Summer's birthday and went out to dinner at Outback Steakhouse (one of Summer's favorite places to eat) and she was surprised with some new serving platters that go with the dishes her mom got her for Christmas as well as a new set of knives that she wanted. And we think Justin's brother, Jarett, put it best when he said, "You know the marriage is going well when a husband feels comfortable buying his wife a set of knives!" Other than celebrating Summer's birthday this past month there hasn't been anything else new going on with the Worden family. Most nights this month have consisted of just being home together as a family and enjoying time together at home...which is a rarity in the Worden household.

MINISTRY NEWS: Three out of five weekends in the month of January have kept us a little busy. The second Saturday in January our church had a dinner and movie night and showed the new marriage movie Fireproof. It was a great outreach to the community and we had several attend. Summer helped work childcare while Justin was here, there, and everywhere doing what was needed. The next weekend was busy for both Justin and Summer. Justin took the boys to a conference in Lakeland, FL called Planet Widsom. They had lots of fun and little sleep but it was well worth the weekend. Summer and the girls had a yardsale at the house for their upcoming girls conference, Revolve Tour, that their going to in Febuary and raised almost $1000.00...so come Saturday night everyone at our house was exhausted from a long but fun weekend...everyone that is except for Emilee who always has bundles of energy! The third weekend in January a church in Wauchula hosted a movie night for all of the students at various churches...it was a missions related theme that had a great message. That very same Sunday was our Student Led Service which was always encouraging. We had several students participate and it was great to see our students lead in worship for the morning. We even had an older gentlemen say that "The future of New Hope is alive and well." That was extremely encourging to hear and we must say that we are very proud of our students. Their awesome!

LOOKING AHEAD: We're looking forward to sharing with you next month all of the exciting things that happen within our family and within our ministry. May God bless you and your family and know that as always, we're praying for you! We hope you enjoy the pictures posted from this past month!

God Bless,
